Submit DUA Without Data Purchase

If you will be collaborating on another person’s data project, or otherwise using data you do not own, this process allows you to read, acknowledge, and submit the appropriate Data Use Agreements (DUAs) as required prior to gaining access to the data. In this three-step process, you will:

1. Create/Confirm User Account: Identify yourself and provide current contact information and proof of HCUP Data Use Agreement (DUA) Training. (If you have not previously registered for an account, this step will register you, but you must complete the training first.)
2. Data Custodian & Database Types: Identify the data custodian who will be giving you access to HCUP data, and identify the HCUP data types you will be accessing.
3. HCUP DUA Submission: Read, acknowledge, and submit the DUAs for the data type(s) you identified.
During the DUA submission process, do not use the back button in your browser. Use the "Previous" button in the DUA Submission pane.
